MICA - CDMC (Centre for Development Management and Communication )
The Centre for Development Management and Communication (CDMC) at MICA focuses on providing thought leadership and strategic communication across varied fields in social change and development management, which is integral to the value system of MICA; and is reflected in its academic programmes, partnerships, and interventions.
The Centre is well positioned in bridging gaps in the areas of development management and social impact communication for civil society organizations, corporate foundations and government agencies, at local, national and global levels. The Centre’s expertise lies in designing and implementing development communication strategies and campaigns for social and behaviour change communication, organizational leadership development, social sector branding and marketing, co-creating communication strategies with the stakeholders, and conducting communication and management training for corporate, public and social sector institutions.
The Centre’s collaborators include civil society and non-governmental organizations like SEWA (Self Employed Women’s Association-Gujarat), UMC-USAID (Urban Management Centre, Ahmedabad), HH&S (Hollywood Health & Society), and UNICEF. The Centre has also worked with various departments in the Government of Gujarat, like Gujarat Ecology Commission, Directorate of Information, Department of Health & Family Welfare, WASMO (Water and Sanitation Management Organization), SSPA (Sardar Sarovar Punarvasvat Agency) and various other state government departments of West Bengal (ISGPP-II), Uttarakhand, Bihar, Delhi, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Punjab.
