GE Healthcare provides transformational medical technologies and services to meet the demand for increased access, enhanced quality and more affordable healthcare around the world. GE works on things that matter - great people and technologies taking on tough challenges. From medical imaging, software & IT, patient monitoring and diagnostics to drug discovery, biopharmaceutical manufacturing technologies and performance improvement solutions, GE Healthcare helps medical professionals deliver great healthcare to their patients.

GE Healthcare understands the healthcare industry is ever evolving, and it strives to make healthcare accessible and affordable through development of disruptive, low-cost technologies and healthcare delivery systems. A critical element missing in the emerging economies across the world is an inclusive and sustainable healthcare solution that addresses the healthcare needs of the general populace. The challenge to efficient delivery of good-quality healthcare is the absence of skilled and well-trained Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). The availability of such HCPs is worryingly low and the demand is persistently rising. Since the healthcare requirements in emerging economies tend to be life-critical, it is imperative that the issue be resolved at the earliest. With the vision to improve access to quality and affordable health around the world, GE Healthcare’s training wing, the GE Healthcare Institute, works with governments, clinicians, private operators and NGOs to deliver valuable training and up-skilling solutions aimed at improving outcomes for health systems and patients.

Reach to Teach (R2T) is a UK-based educational charity, which exists to transform the lives of children in rural and marginalised communities in India by improving the quality of primary education. R2T improves children's prospects by boosting their attendance and supporting government teachers in improving the quality of teaching and learning using internationally proven best practice methods.

Founded in 2003, R2T has grown significantly, from a short-term project that brought lessons to Indian children from a converted bus, to an established organisation improving the learning outcomes of several thousands of children.

R2T believes that all children should have access to the best possible education. Research shows that the most important factor for improving learning is the quality of teaching, which is more important than class size, classroom resources or the design of textbooks.

Apart from running an intensive Education & Community programme in 230 government schools in Gujarat, R2T is significantly expanding its India footprint in the areas of:

  • Government Teacher Transformation: training, coaching, and providing peer support platforms for teachers, and bringing scale and sustainability through training government trainers and coaches/CRCs
  • Head Teacher Leadership Development: transforming Head Teachers into leaders of learning through training, coaching & peer support platforms
  • Community Ownership of Education: bringing communities and schools closer by increasing community awareness of the importance of education and regular attendance, and developing a sense of ownership of their children’s education

Smile Train India is a children's charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problem: cleft lip and palate. In India, over 35,000 children are born with clefts and hundreds of thousands of children with untreated clefts face a life of isolation, but more importantly, have trouble eating, speaking and breathing. Most do not go to school and seldom find jobs.

Smile Train India empowers local doctors and medical professionals with training, funding and resources to provide free cleft surgery and comprehensive cleft care to children in their own communities. We advance a sustainable solution and a scalable health model for cleft treatment, drastically improving children’s lives.

Through a nationwide network of over 160+ partner hospitals, over 5,50,000 free cleft surgeries have been provided since the year 2000. Making this possible are our individual and corporate donors and partnerships with various state governments under RBSK, Border Security Force (BSF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), among others.
