Stri Shakti is an ISO 9000 – 2001 non-governmental organization (NGO) that has been working diligently to uplift and empower women all over the country. Among the various projects that this non-profit organization has achieved under its name is their Mid-Day Meal scheme. In an effort to protect children from classroom hunger and enhance their overall performance, Stri Shakti has been delivering hot, nutritious meals to over 1 million children for more than two decades.
In an attempt to wipe out malnutrition in young children, nourish and educate young children, Stri Shakti has joined hands with Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) to provide the healthcare, supplementary nutrition and primary education to children below 6 years of age. This program also extends its helping hands towards pregnant women, nursing mothers, and adolescent girls.
The NGO also has partnered with Gujarat Government for providing meals to construction workers under Shramik Annapurna Yojana.
